Chapter 46 - Where it all begins

Chapter one, her life begins.

Born on the first day of March, to Raymond Riley and Dorothy Avance; the little sister to Valencia Avance and will, in the chapters that follow, become the big sister to four other siblings.

In chapter 5, on March 1, 1980 her daddy died.

She also went to school for the first time in that chapter. There, in her kindergarten class a little black boy, who Mrs. Kelly called Mr. (and he was bossy like an old man too), told everyone in class that he loved her and she was his. She learned so much about love in that chapter.

Chapter 16 was another turning point in her understanding of love. In this chapter she falls in love with a man for the first time, experienced sexual assault for the first time, and conceived a child, for the first time.

In chapter 17 she’s done with men.

March 1, 2000 she spends her first birthday in the new millennium with her husband, the same man she spent her birthday with in chapter 18.

Chapter 45 the year is 2020 and we’re all in a pandemonium. In this chapter she shook things up by celebrating herself and ALL HELL BROKE LOSE! The whole world fell apart.

Since I can’t possibly write everything that happened, just imagine Thanos snapped his fingers and people started disappearing.

Now here I am, March 1, 2021, the start of a brand new chapter. A blank slate in so many ways, both literal and symbolic. I'm individuated. Single, sovereign and celebrating all that life intends for me.

This chapter starts with me doing something I have never, ever done in any of the previous chapters;

being one.
