Losing the Wait

It's the most wonderful time of the year! It's that time of year when everyone is reevaluating their life and health choices; preparing for a new year and resolving to become a new you.
Each year, at this time, millions of Americans set New Year's resolutions with more than 50% resolving to lose weight. Research shows that 75% of these people will have abandoned their goals by January 19th and fewer than 8% will actually reach their goals.

For most of my adult life, I was one of those who'd consistently set a new year’s resolution and abandon it, resolving instead to wait for "the magic pill" or the next new year. This pattern of waiting continued until 2018 when my years of waiting for change manifested as 210lbs of body weight. That's when my knees and I decided we could no longer wait for a miraculous weight loss plan and instead I offered myself as tribute and developed one of my own. What I realized is that the SAD (standard American diet) practices that we've been conditioned to believe is the only way to weight loss, fails more than 90% of the time because it doesn't prioritize the key ingredient...Y.O.U.
In my process of finding a weight loss plan that worked for me, I realized the reason nothing ever worked was that every plan available focuses on two things and two things only...diet and exercise. While I believe these are key factors for health and vitality I'm convinced that the continued focus on diet and exercise for weight loss is as outdated and expired as my gym membership.
Consider this, of the 82.1 million adults who will join a gym this year not one of them has the same body, the same needs, or the same fitness plans. That's 82.1 million different needs but only one so-called "simple" two-factor solution...eat less and move more. Well, I'm here to call out the bullshit. The health and fitness industrial complex is a multibillion-dollar industry that literally banks on you continuing to believe that you can exercise your way to the body of your dreams. Even if your body could handle the rigors of burning fat through exercise, it's simply not sustainable with our incredibly busy and aging lives. As a Wife, Mother of four, and Grandmother of two, my lifestyle, in 2018, was no exception and I had the waistline and sore knees to prove it.
My goals were simple, find a healthy, sustainable weight loss plan that does not require me to eat less and/or workout. Sounds impossible right? Except every one of you here watched me do just that. What you may be unaware of is that I achieved my 90lb weight loss without depriving myself of food and nutrients and without any high stress, high impact exercise; no weights, and no aerobics, and I’ve maintained my weight loss for more than three years!

My lifestyle journey taught me several things; first, forget everything you think you know about weight loss, and two, nobody knows better than your body. These two principles make up the foundation of my success. After years of waiting for my workouts to work out, I bio-hacked the health code and now I’m back to see if you’re ready to stop waiting and do the same.
